Welcome to Metronome Software! The cloud-based business platform designed for CEOs, leaders, and business coaches. This guide will walk you through setting up your company, so you can dive right in with your team!
Step 1: Set Up Your Account Preferences
Your Account Page is your first stop where you can personalize your company experience. Set your email preferences, change/update your passwords, upload your profile image, and enable Two-Factor Authentication (2FA). [Watch the video here].
Step 2: Configure Your Company Settings
As an Admin, you can add your company logo and customize the modules on the left-hand menu for your team. We recommend starting with these modules turned off: Rolling Metrics, KFFM, Swimlanes, Action Items, and Reviews. You can enable them later when your team is ready! [Watch the video here].
Step 3: Create Your One Page Plan
Start building your One Page Plan, beginning with your Core Purpose, Company Values, 10–30-year goal, and Core Competencies. [Watch the video here].
If you aren't sure about what to write here, don't worry! You can explore all of this using the tools and resources designed by Metronomics: here.
Step 4: Set Up Team View & Scorecards
Setting up Team View is vitally important. It provides you with clarity over your organizational chart and helps to build accountability within your team. You don't have to build out your whole company here, you can get started with just the Senior Leadership Team. [Team View here]
Anytime you add a function in your Team View, it will automatically create a Scorecard for that function. After setting up the Team View, head over to your Scorecards where you can define what that function is accountable to. [Scorecards here]
Step 5: Schedule Your Meetings
Meetings are one of the most important features of Metronome. They drive clearer accountability and more effective communication across your Team. You can either use templates that have been designed by our very own Metronomics Coaches or set them up from scratch. [Watch the video here].
Step 6: Define Your Annual Priorities
Input the Annual Priorities for your company! These are the priorities that will guide all the actions you take in your current or future fiscal year. [Watch the video here].
Step 7: Establish Your Company Quarterly Priorities
Add your quarterly priorities and use Metronome to facilitate mapping out every week of the quarter so you can clearly track your progress. You can also link these to your annual priorities to communicate how your quarter ties into your overall annual goals. [Watch the video here].
Step 8: Input Your Metrics
Even if you have just one metric, let’s get it in! By setting your target for the quarter, Metronome will automatically calculate the pace you need to be hitting. [Watch the video here].
Step 9: Utilize the Daily Dashboard
Now that you've set up meetings, priorities, and metrics, the Daily Dashboard is your go-to for seeing company performance at a high level. From this page, you can quickly prepare for meetings and update the priorities and metrics you are accountable to. [Watch the video here].
Step 10: Add Team Members
Now let's invite your team to Metronome! You'll want to assign them to the necessary functions and add the appropriate permission levels. [Watch the video here].
*Note: The onboarding flow is designed to have your company set up before your Team Members are added, however you can add your Team Members at any time. If you've already added them to the Software, that's ok!
