What is the difference between a Company Metric and an Individual Metric?

Learn the difference between a Company Metric and an Individual Metric in Metronome.

Company Metrics and Individual Metrics serve different purposes in tracking performance within Metronome.

Company Metrics

Company Metrics reflect overall company performance across different functions. These metrics help leadership identify trends, areas of outperformance, and opportunities for improvement.

Key Features:

  • Marked with a gold star
  • Appear on the Daily Dashboard and the One Page Plan
  • Can be filtered using the Company Only option in Meetings.

How to Set a Metric as a Company Metric:

  1. When creating a Metric, check the Company Metric star.
  2. If the Metric already exists:
    a. Click on the Metric (it will highlight green)
    b. Click the star next to the Metric title in Properties
    c. The gold star will now appear, confirming it as a Company Metric

Individual Metrics (Functional Metrics)

Individual Metrics track specific team or individual performance but are not necessarily tied to overall company success.

Key Features:

  • Do not have a gold star
  • Appear on the team member’s Status Card in the Daily Dashboard
  • Display in the One Page Plan under Individual Metrics and Quarterly Priorities

Example:

A Sales Function may track "Number of Calls" as an Individual Metric. While important for the team, it may not be considered a Company Metric.
