What is the difference between a Company Metric and an Individual Metric?

Company Metrics are used to indicate the performance of the overall Company as it pertains to each function. By looking at your Company Metrics, you can see how each Function is performing and where there may be outperformance or opportunities.

Individual Metrics are tied to individual levels of performance and can help Functional leaders see where there may be outperformance or opportunities within their team.

In Metronome, a Company Metric will be given a yellow star and will appear on the Daily Dashboard and the One Page Plan.

To make a metric a company metric, either select 'Company Metric' when creating the metric or it can be done once the metric is added by clicking on the metric (highlights green), then click the star next to the Metric title in Properties. Once it has a gold star, you can filter 'Company Only', to display only company metrics.

An individual metric (functional Metric) is a metric that makes sense for the function to be tracking but not necessarily a company metric. For example, for the Sales Function, it may make sense for this function to be tracking 'Number of Calls'.

This metric would not have a gold star; however it will still show on the team members Status Card on the Daily Dashboard under the metrics tab. It will also show on their One Page Plan for this team member under the column identified as Individual Metrics and Quarterly Priorities.

Please note: When the 'Show All' filter is applied, the individual or functional metrics will always list below the company metrics.
