Coach Video - Create One Page Plan Template

A One Page Plan template allows you to create a starting point for your clients by setting up a coach kickoff template. This guide will walk you through the process of creating, customizing, and using these templates effectively in MGS.

Creating a Coach Kickoff One Page Plan Template

Step 1: Accessing Your Account

  1. Log in to your own company account. For example, if you are Coach Colin, your name will appear in the upper right corner.

  2. Ensure you are in your company account as the template will be saved from this page.

Tip: Create the template before entering your company’s specific information into the One Page Plan.

Step 2: Starting with a Pre-Made Template

  1. Navigate to One Page Plan on the left-side panel.

  2. Click Add Plan in the middle of the page.

  3. From the dropdown menu, select the MGS Kickoff Template and click Save.

Why MGS Kickoff Template?

  • It includes static boxes for one-year and three-year goals, which are ideal for initial setups.

  • These static boxes can later be replaced with dynamic metric components.

  • It does not include a differentiators component, which can be added when needed.

Step 3: Customizing the Template

  1. Select Edit All in the upper right corner to open the components for customization.

  2. Hover over a component to access its editing tools:

    • Drag Icon (Diamond): Move components up, down, left, or right.

    • Pencil Icon: Edit text, titles, or content.

    • Three Dots: Access additional options, such as adding list items, changing settings, or adding new components.

  3. To customize the layout:

    • Use the Settings option under the three dots to update colors or apply changes to the entire row.

    • Add new components such as text boxes, metrics, or differentiators.

  4. Use the Show Tips option (found under More in the upper right corner) for overlay guidance on each component.

Step 4: Saving the Template

  1. Once satisfied with the layout, click More in the upper right corner and select Save as Template.

  2. Name the template (e.g., "Coach Kickoff Template").

  3. Choose Shared to make it visible to all the companies you coach.

  4. Click Save.

Step 5: Using the Template for New Companies

  1. Navigate to the My Companies section and select a company (e.g., "Leading Edge").

  2. Go to their One Page Plan page, which will appear as a blank canvas.

  3. Click Add Plan and select your saved "Coach Kickoff Template" from the dropdown menu.

  4. Click Save.

Step 6: Updating and Refining the Template for Clients

  1. Populate Metrics: If the company already has metrics entered, they will automatically populate into the One Page Plan.

    • To manually enter static information, use the Edit All mode.

  2. Switch to Rolling Metrics:

    • For companies using rolling metrics and forecasting targets, replace static boxes with dynamic metrics components:

      • Click Add Component and select Metrics One Year or Metrics Three Year.

      • Remove old static boxes using the three-dot menu and select Remove.

  3. Add Differentiators:

    • Use the three-dot menu to add a Differentiators component and position it where desired.

Step 7: Final Adjustments and Exporting

  1. Adjust the layout so all components fit above the serrated line (visible in Edit Mode) to ensure proper printing on one page.

  2. Save your changes.

  3. To export as a PDF:

    • Click More in the upper right corner and choose Export.

    • Save and print as needed.

By following these steps, you can create and use a Coach Kickoff One Page Plan Template tailored to your coaching needs, ensuring a smooth and professional setup for your clients.
