💡 Did you know? 💡

Psst… Who Can See That Action Item?

This month, we wanted to share a tip about privacy when it comes to Action Items!

Here’s how this works.

When creating an Action Item, you can:

  • Set it to Public – visible to everyone in the company
  • Make it Private – visible only to either yourself, or selected team members
  • Inherit Privacy – this means the Action Item will follow the privacy rules of where it was created (e.g. a private Meeting or Priority)

💡 Example: If you create an Action Item in a Meeting and leave privacy as "inherit," only those who have access to that Meeting will see the Action Item.

Consider the context:

  • If the task is sensitive, choose manually setting privacy.
  • If it ties to a private Meeting or Priority, inheritance often makes sense.
  • For anything general or team-wide, public works well.
