How do I link existing Metrics?

To link pre-existing metrics together, you will need to create a new 'parent' metric. 

Make sure this newly created metric has no data within it, it needs to be a blank metric and the same type of metric as your existing metrics (Count, Measurement, Flat). 

To link them, the existing metric will become a 'child' metric to the new 'parent' metric that was created. To link them, click on the existing metric (it will highlight green), this metric will now become a 'child' metric. Next navigate to the Parent Metric section below the metrics box by scrolling down, and click on dropdown arrow to find the new 'parent' metric that you created. If there are a lot of metrics, use the search and type first few letters in the title.
