How do I update my email, password, or two-factor authentication?

Manage your account security and login information.

Keeping your account details up to date is important for both security and ease of access. This article walks you through how to update your email address, change your password, and manage your 2FA (two-factor authentication) settings in Metronome.

1. Access Your Account Settings

To begin:

  • Click the drop-down arrow next to your name in the upper right corner of the screen.

  • Select Account Details from the menu.

2. Update Your Email Address

If your email address has changed or needs correcting:

  • From the Account Details page, stay on the Settings tab.

  • Enter your new email address in the email field.

  • Click Save at the bottom right to apply your changes.

Note: You’ll use this updated email address the next time you log in.

3. Change Your Password

To update your login password:

  • In the Account Details page, select the Change Password tab.

  • Enter your new password.

  • Click Save.

Choose a strong, unique password that you don’t reuse elsewhere.

4. Set Up or Reset Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)

Two-factor authentication adds an extra layer of security to your account.

To enable 2FA:

a. In Account Details, go to the Two-Factor Authentication tab
b. Follow the steps to connect your authenticator app (e.g., Google Authenticator, Authy)
c. Save your recovery code in a safe place—this is essential if you ever lose access to your device.

What if I need to reset 2FA?

  • If you're locked out or switching devices and don’t have your recovery code, a Company Admin or Assistant can disable 2FA for you from the Team Members page.
