Metronome UI Update – Coach Notes, February 2026
Here are the changes we are making to bring a fresher and easier to use Metronome UI!
What’s Changed: Coach Notes
Here’s a quick overview of what’s new for Coach Notes in this release:

A more modern, refreshed interface

Resizable sidebar for easier navigation and organization

Key actions moved out of overflow menus and into the page header

Smarter note creation based on the category you’re viewing

Easier category management and organization

Improved rich text editing and image visibility
Note: This page can be enabled or disabled using the Ability to turn pages on or off setting.
Coach Notes Updates
Coach Notes received a significant usability refresh, focused on organization and workflow efficiency.
What’s new:

General UI improvements: A more modern, polished interface.

Resizable sidebar: Easily resize the sidebar to better manage your notes.

Actions moved to the page header: All "More" button actions are now located in the page header for quicker access.

Smarter note creation by category:

New notes are now created in the category you are currently viewing.

For example:
-
If you create a new note while viewing an Uncategorized note, the new note will also be uncategorized.

If you create a new note while viewing a note in the Metronomics category, the new note will be created in that category.

Previously, all new notes were created as uncategorized.

Category management from the sidebar: You can now modify note categories directly from the sidebar.

Drag-and-drop categorization: Change a note’s category by clicking and dragging it from one category to another in the sidebar.

Note previews on hover: When hovering over a note, you’ll see a short description to help you quickly identify its contents.
Previously:

Renaming a category occurred on hover, it is now located within the three-dot menu.

Deleting a category required manually reassigning each note individually.

There was no way to directly add a new note to a specific category.

Notes could not be moved between categories via drag and drop.
Rich Text Editor Improvements
We’ve made enhancements to the rich text editor to improve content visibility and editing.

Full-size image viewing: Images now display at their full size within notes, making visuals clearer and easier to review.
Why These Changes Were Made
These updates are designed to make Coach Notes easier to use and more intuitive through a cleaner interface, smarter workflows, and improved loading times, making it easier to manage priorities and notes efficiently. The changes also set the foundation for our development team to deliver future enhancements more quickly and effectively.

1. Can I get notifications about these changes in the future?
Yes! Updates are announced in several places:
→ Email – If you’re subscribed to Metronome emails, you’ll receive updates like the one titled “A Fresh New Look Is Here 🎉” sent on Wednesday, February 4th. If you are not currently subscribed, you can update this through your Account Details via the Email Notifications box!
→ Metronome System Updates - Each month, we publish a roundup of updates and changes. This can be found in the Help Center and will include sub sections for:
- New Features & Enhancements - large updates to the system including key feature upgrades
- Release Notes - general improvements we do each month
