When working with One Page Plan templates, it's best practice to save your current plan as a template once you’re satisfied with its setup. This ensures you can reuse your customized plan in the future.
Creating a Template
Follow these steps to create and apply a One Page Plan template:
Step 1: Save Your Existing Plan as a Template
- Click on "...More" in the upper-right corner of the screen.
- From the drop-down menu, select "Save as Template."
- In the Create New Template pop-up window, name your template (e.g., by period or a custom name) and click Save.
Step 2: Delete the Existing Plan
- Once your plan is saved as a template, you’ll need to delete the current One Page Plan to start fresh.
- Click on "...More" in the upper-right corner again and select "Delete One Page Plan."
Step 3: Apply the Template
- With a blank canvas, click Add Plan.
- In the Add Plan pop-up window, select your desired template from the drop-down menu.
Step 4: Review and Populate Components
- Auto-populated sections: Metrics, Quarterly Priorities, and Rolling Metrics will automatically populate into your new plan. Core Values previously entered will also be included.
- Manually added sections: For other components, copy and paste any content from the template you saved.
Switching Between Templates
To explore or switch between templates, follow these steps:
- Click on "...More" in the upper-right corner.
- From the drop-down menu, select "Templates."
- A list of available Global Templates and saved templates will appear. Click on any template to view its layout.
Returning to Your Original One Page Plan
- To return to your original One Page Plan, click "Return to One Page Plan" in the upper-right corner.
This process helps you efficiently manage and switch One Page Plan templates while keeping your existing work organized and reusable.
