Why am I getting a Cascading Metric error message?

It is important that a parent metric contain no actual data. You will receive the following error if you try to make a metric which contains data into a parent metric.

A parent metric is the sum of its child metrics. This means that a parent metric cannot have any data within itself. If a metric does have data within the actual column, it cannot become a parent metric.

To fix this error message, simply create a new parent metric which will become the owner of the child metrics.
