Action Items can be private, public, or inherit privacy settings from where it was created.

Defaults:
- Action Items created in the Daily Dashboard or Action Items page are private by default.
- Action Items created under a meeting or priority inherit their privacy settings.

Changing Privacy Settings:
- Open Action Item settings by clicking Edit to adjust privacy.
- Navigate to the Visibility section.
- Set your privacy:
- Public
- When an Action Item is Public, it will be visible to all member of your team.
- Private
- When an Action Item is Private, only you will be able to see the Action Item.
- You can also set to a Custom List where only certain people will have access. You will need to choose specific team members to add to the privacy list when setting this up from the dropdown provided.
- Inherit
- When an Action Item is set to Inherit, it will provide visibility to those that have access to the original location it was created. Here are a few examples:
- You created an action item through a priority. If the priority is set to public, then the action item will also be public.
- If the priority is set to a custom list with only three members of the team, those will be the only users that can see the associated action item.
- If you created an action item in a meeting, it would inherit privacy to those who have access to that meeting.
- When an Action Item is set to Inherit, it will provide visibility to those that have access to the original location it was created. Here are a few examples:

Identifying Privacy Status:
- Public Action Items show a Globe Icon with Public next to it.
- Inherit Action Items show two rectangles with a vertical arrow next to it.
- Private Action Items show a Lock Icon with the privacy list.
