What are Action Items Used For?
Action Items are a powerful tool for tracking tasks, responsibilities, and follow-ups within your team. They help ensure accountability and clear communication by assigning specific tasks to team members and setting clear expectations around deadlines, priorities, and privacy.

How to Set Up an Action Item
To create an Action Item in Metronome, follow these steps:

Navigate to the Action Items module

Select the option to create a new Action Item.

Complete the Action Item Form. The Action Item setup page includes the following fields and settings:

Name:

Enter a clear and concise name for the Action Item. This name should describe the task or responsibility.

Stuck Team Member:

Toggle this setting if the task is currently blocked by another team member and needs additional support.

Privacy:

Use this setting to control who can view the Action Item. By default, the Action Item is private and only visible to the creator and selected individuals.

To make it visible to more team members, add their names to the privacy list.

Tags:

Add relevant tags to categorize the Action Item. Tags can be used to filter and organize tasks based on projects, departments, or priorities.

Due Date:

Set a specific due date for the Action Item. If you want this task to recur, the due date must be set before applying the recurring setting.

Frequency:

Choose a recurrence schedule for tasks that need to be repeated (e.g., weekly, monthly).

Priority:

Assign the Action Item to a Quarterly Priority if it is relevant to that priority scope.

Details:

Provide additional context or instructions in the details section. This can include links, notes, or specific steps needed to complete the task.
